Known for its sandy beaches and good nightlife, Bournemouth is a popular seaside resort on the Dorset coast between Poole and Christchurch.
The town is centered on the Bourne River, running downhill towards the sea by Bournemouth Pier. This pier looks back towards a promenade lined with beach huts at the foot of grassy cliffs. The promenade continues west to Poole, while a road heads east to neighboring Boscombe, where anglers often fish from its pier. Overlooking it is a clifftop road housing some Bournemouth hotels with sea views.
Booking.com also has hotels near the BIC (Bournemouth International Center) in the West Cliff area. This convention center and music venue is a short walk from the Art Deco Pavilion Theatre next to the Lower Gardens. In this popular city park is the Bournemouth Eye, a tethered hot air balloon with far-reaching views.
At the park’s top end the river disappears under a large square, then emerges in the Central Gardens. Overlooking these gardens is the Victorian town hall, which used to be one of several spa hotels in Bournemouth. Nearby, there's a Grade I registered historic church, and St. Peter’s Church has the grave of Mary Shelley, author of "Frankenstein."
On the outskirts of town, near 4 golf courses and the Castlepoint Shopping Center, is Bournemouth Airport.

Me and my fiance went with friends for our sten Do (stag&hen). It was pleasant weather, relatively affordable, good food & entertaining mini golf. We also went to the mini market Sunday morning which we all enjoyed. Would definitely recommend as it was not too busy.

Bournemouth is a very nice town with beautiful sandy beaches. There is plenty of choices for lunch and dinner.
It is a bit out-of-date and looks like its glory days are gone though, as there were many closed shops at the city centre and the feeling was it looked a bit sad and abandoned.

Bournemouth is a a great place for me loads of good long walks very scenic only problem there's a lot of beggars and homeless but they are everywhere but they didn't really bother me they all have there own problems it's a beautiful city with a fabulous garden's running right through the city centre I loved it , looking forward to going to Bournemouth again 👍🇬🇧 .
A great place to stay..a lovely old building, very well decorated and spotlessly clean. We were given a suite which was fabulous and it was great value for money. Plenty of parking spaces and just a short walk to the beachfront. We had breakfast at the sister hotel, the Derby Manor and that too was one of the best we have had. There was plenty of choice and it was all freshly cooked. It far exceeded our expectations. Definitely will stay there again when next in Bournemouth.
Friendly and professional Staff greeted us at Reception, was very happy and surprised to learn that we were given a room with a four poster bed which was very comfortable. The rest of the room had all we needed with a jacquzzi bath much to my Husband's delight and he went for a 'bubble'. The Hotel had 3 Bars, one had a very late licence (4am) i think that one was. Very central to the Beach and shopping, also opposite to The BIC and close to Bournemouth Pavillion.
This was the best nights sleep me and my partner had in a long time! The hotel, room and gardens were decorated beautifully. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was phenomenal! Boscombe beach was 2 minutes away, and Bournemouth was 5 minutes on the bus - in fact we walked back from Bournemouth along the beach which didn’t take long at all. Couldn’t fault the hotel or our stay even if we tried!
The apartment was very comfortable and had everything needed for a short stay. We particularly appreciated the extra space the apartment had compared to a stay in a hotel.
The property is situated close to Bournemouth town centre and is only a 15 minute walk to the pier and beach.
Jez was a great host who communicated well both on the run up to the stay and while we were there to check in.
Large ensuite room with sea view was dated but spotlessly clean, facilities included a coffee pod machine, fridge and safe which was a bonus. Located close to the town and seafront with convenient parking in BIC centre, the Crab restaurant which is part of the hotel is excellent, as was the breakfast. All staff members were very polite and helpful, this is now becoming a rare feature.
Very impressed with this Hotel. Staff on front of desk was polite and friendly, gave us some good information regarding Bournemouth University as we were down for the open day. The Hotel is very well maintained, clean and tidy. Breakfast is varied and tasty. Room was very clean and had all you wanted. 5 mins wall to the University and 10 mins walk down to the beach
The location, the staff and the room were exceptional. The grounds are an oasis of peace and everything was spotlessly clean. We had an issue with one of the guests behaviour but this was handled in a very professional manner by the owner. We will definitely be coming back to this lovely boutique hotel as its the best we've experienced in Bournemouth.
The hotel is a bit dated and the room we were allocated was small plus the bed was not a standard double bed.
Location was good on the top of West Cliff and an easy walk into Bournemouth.
We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel so we cannot comment.
All the hotel staff we met were friendly and willing to assist with any requests.
Whilst the hotel is looking a bit tired, all areas are very well cleaned and presented. We have been going to the hotel for a few years and the staff (Annabel, Sue and Graham) are so helpful and friendly. Free parking which is a good thing in Bournemouth.
The hotel had friendly, very helpful staff… the location was absolutely perfect for going into Bournemouth or walking the beach to sandbanks. It was clean and had everything you needed… I can’t believe how good it was for the price!!
Absolutely everything Debbie was a lovely host and so accommodating. Our room was just perfect. Spotlessly clean couldn't fault a thing. The best hotel we have stayed in all the times we have come to Bournemouth.
Bournemouth is a terrific location, and the Royal Bath Hotel- the first hotel built to accommodate visitors to the area in 1838- is in a near perfect location, close to the Pier and overlooking the East Cliff
Hands down one of the best properties I have stayed. The home felt like a home. It’s cosy decorated to a high standard. Please stay here over any hotel when you visit Bournemouth.
I’ve stayed In Bournemouth many times all over and this time I found a hotel with the most perfect location .. it was so comfy and clean with wonderful friendly staff
It's very close to beach and town centre with a variety of shops nearby.. it's's very quiet and a safe location from where you can comfortably discover Bournemouth.
Loved the location, right across the street from the Bournemouth Pier and ferris wheel! Variety of restaurants close by as well as in hotel and parking out front.
The building is high standard on the outside, the inside outdated. Near the beach in a good area of Bournemouth, near the station. Nice for short period.
